Arnold Hodgins

    Services for Arnold Hodgins will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home  with the Rev. Allen Randall officiating. Burial will follow in Hamrick cemetery in Collinsville.

    Mr. Hodgins, 96, of Meridian, passed away, Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the VA Nursing Center in Kosciusko.

    Mr. Hodgins worked as a building and roofing contractor until retirement around 2010.He was a world War II Navy Veteran, first class gunner mate aboard PC587 and The USS Fallon from 1942–1945.

    He is survived by his daughter, Glenda Gordon, Meridian; six grandchildren:Todd Gordon, Brian Gordon, Scott Gordon, Greg Dawkins, Stephen Dawkins and Ashley Mullinax, and eight great-grandchildren.

    He is precede in death by his wife of 64 years, Juanice Ethridge Hodgins; son,  George Terry Dawkins, parents, Reuben and Caroline Hodgins; three sisters, Mayola Vaughn, Irene Hodges and Madi Merle Hudson; brother, George Hodgins; five stepbrothers, Neil, Rodge, Ray, Bob and Rueben Hodgins; and two stepsisters, Lula Phillips and Java Hamrick.

    Visitation will be Tuesday, from 2-3 p.m., at the funeral home.
