CUBA, Ala. – Graveside services for Johnny Frank Carney Sr. will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Clay Memorial Cemetery in Cuba. Bumpers Funeral Home of York is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carney, 76, of Cuba, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at his residence from a house fire. He was born Sept. 21, 1939, in Choctaw County to Robert Thomas Carney and Neva Mae Mitchum Carney. He was a man who was well respected and loved by not only his family but by all who knew him. Our tears will never cease for you daddy. We will always love you and miss you more than words can describe. Loving life and family.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Martin Carney of Cuba; sons, Johnny Frank Carney Jr. (Elizabeth) of Lauderdale, Miss., and Jay Justice Carney (Melissa) of Toomsuba, Miss.; daughters, Sharon Smith (Carl) of Zero Community, Miss., Tresa Thrash (Bruce) of Cuba, Lisa Ward (Billy Ray) of Meridian, Miss., and Cynthia Shelby (Ricky) of Toomsuba, Miss.; sisters, Vonnie Givens of McComb, Miss., and Brenda Tassey of DeKalb, Miss.; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
