Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

    Misdemeanors

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Antonio Cintron Cuevas, 28, 313 Western Ave., Sunman, Ind. Cuevas is also charged with obstructing traffic, no liability insurance, driving without a license and seat-belt violation.

    • DUI, first offense – Melvin Hicks, 59, 919 44th Ave., Meridian. Hicks is also charged with careless driving and no liability insurance.

    • DUI, first offense – Ronald Smithey, 58, 793 Box Corner, Byhalia.

    • Shoplifting – Christopher D. Curtis, born in 1988, 5391A Zero Road, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct – Lawrence Lewis, born in 1989, 200 23rd Street, Meridian.

    • DUI – Patrick K. Brown, born in 1978, 1704 Main St., Meridian. Brown is also charged with possession of marijuana.

    • DUI – Davie O. Lewis, born in 1968, 452 White Road, Meridian.

    • Credit card fraud – Aden Jack Blackledge, born in 1982, 2828 31st St., Meridian.

    • DUI – Ashley D. Whitaker, born in 1991, 7791 County Road 350, Meridian.

    • DUI – John P. Stanley, born in 1987, 20 Sandy Creek Drive, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct – Chris Scott, born in 1987, 5431 Causeyville Road, Meridian.

    • DUI – Chastidi Jennings, born in 1991, 1526 48th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI – Lakeisha Ware, born in 1980, 290 Edgewood Drive, Meridian. Ware is also charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.

    • DUI – Damon K. Eichelburger, born in 1981, 1719 Highway 19, Meridian.

    • DUI – Joshua L. Waddell, born in 1999, 6927 Valley Road, Meridian.

    • Public profanity – Darnell Romero, born in 1978, 610 Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian.

    Felonies

    • Uttering forgery, two counts – Courtney Parker Smith, 35, 2318 15th St., Meridian.

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Friday to Monday:

Robbery

    • 700 block of 29th Avenue, Meridian.

Auto Burglary

    • 2200 block of Hillcrest Drive, Meridian.

Church Burglaries

    • 2500 block of Highway 45 North, Meridian.

    • 500 block of 18th Street, Meridian.

Residential Burglary

    • 500 block of C Street, Meridian.

Shootings

    • 10 block of Bonita Road, Meridian.

    Meridian police responded to 17 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

    • DUI, first offense – Donald Jerome Cameron, 26, 3900 32nd St., Meridian. Cameron was also charged with driving with a suspended license and no license tag.

    • Leaving the scene of an accident – Ira James Chambliss II, 28, 422 46th Ave., Meridian. Chambliss is also charged with no liability insurance, failure to pay (justice court) and two counts of probation violation/parole.

    • DUI, first offense – Casey Trent Clark, 28, 3541 Broad St., Lisman, Ala. Clark is also charged with driving with a suspended license and no liability insurance.

    • Probation violation/parole – Timothy Lynn Cochran, 49, 1315 Main St., McLain.

    • Sale of marijuana, less than 30 grams – Emanuel Larone Cole, 28, 4913 West Gate Hills, Meridian. Cole is also charged with probation violation/parole and being held for outside agency.

    • Probation violation/parole – Christopher Laderrick Edwards, 29, 4114 Royal Road, Meridian.

    • Failure to appear (justice court), two counts – Daryon A. Edwards, 21, 6023 Fisher Road, Meridian. Edwards is also being held for outside agency.

    • Telephone harassment – Kevin Scott Faircloth, 43, 2284 Highway 145 North, Quitman.

    • DUI, first offense – Michael Fortner, 29, 8038 Lauderdale Toomsuba Road, Toomsuba. Fortner is also charged with disorderly conduct, fleeing and eluding in a motor vehicle, domestic violence, resisting arrest, careless driving, disregard of traffic device and driving with a suspended license.

    • DUI, refusal to take test – William Franklin Jr., 56, 104 Altavista Boulevard, Newton. Franklin is also charged with improper equipment and driving with a suspended license.

    • Felon in possession of a firearm – Gerry Megule Hill, 23, 1208 Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian. Hill is also charged with probation violation/parole.

    • DUI, first offense – Jacob Colby Jackson, 27, 308 Sandford, Douglas, Wyo. Jackson is also charged with careless driving.

    • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute – Harvey Montrail Johnson, 28, 204 31st Ave., Meridian. Johnson is also charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of drugs while in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, sale of methamphetamine and three counts of failure to appear (justice court).

    • Willful trespassing – Willie L.Lloyd, 38, 1616 Eighth Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI, other substance – Claude Earl Mathers, 35, 2140 Harper Road, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct – Zandra Riketta Nelson, 36, 133 Shelton Road, Cuba, Ala. Nelson is also charged with resisting arrest, reckless driving, no license tag, failure to exhibit DL on demand and no liability insurance.

    • Possession of controlled substance – Jamie Norris, 28, 188 Skyland Drive, Meridian.

    • Simple assault, attempt to create fear – Wendi Perry, 43, 8102 Highway 493, Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Gabriel Reed Rawson, 28, 3053 Schanrock Road, Meridian. Rawson is also charged with possession of marijuana, improper equipment, switched tag/license plate and expired driver’s license.

    • Compulsory school attendance – Brandy Leshay Steele, 38, 605 55th Ave., Meridian.

    • Public drunkenness – Russell Sullivan, 22, 200 Wyatt Road, Meridian.

    • Embezzlement – Sammie Lee Tubbs, 56, 2014 20th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Detria D’net Warren, 29, 10415 Rabbit Road, Lauderdale. Warren is also charged with no license tag and driving with a suspended license.
