Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:
Misdemeanors
• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Eddie Ruttley, born in 1989, 1108 26th Ave., Meridian.
• Disorderly conduct – Murphy Lanier, 43, 30th Ave., Meridian.
• Simple assault, domestic – Felicia R. Cooper, born in 1994, 4311 Fifth St., Meridian.
• Interfering with police – Laquisha Earl, born in 1997, 2204 Tenth Ave., Meridian.
• Disturbance of a family – Walter C. Houston, born in 1973, 3314 56th Place, Meridian.
• Simple assault – Victory Watts, born in 1980, 600 49th Ave., Meridian.
Felonies
• Aggravated assault – Ziaire Drane, 14, 5519 B Place, Meridian. Drane is also charged with attempted armed robbery.
• Shooting into a dwelling, house – David Lee Cooley, 68, 2428 Old Marion Road, Meridian.

• 100 block of Highway 11 and 80, Meridian.
• 8000 block of Van Zyverden Road, Meridian.
• 800 block of 15th Court, Meridian.
Commercial Burglary
• 1900 block of Tenth Avenue, Meridian.
Residential Burglary
• 2100 block of 20th Street, Meridian.
Shootings
• 200 block of North Hills Street, Meridian.
Meridian police responded to 6 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:
• DUI, first offense – John Robert Cato, 46, 13290 Rocky Ridge Road, Collinsville.
