- Meridian Community College dental hygiene students Laken Wood and Greg Brown talk to students at Oakland Heights Elementary about the importance of good dental hygiene Thursday.Their visit was part of National Children's Dental Health Month, which aims to raise awareness about the importance of oral health. MCC students shared with the youngsters that developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children to get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums.
