Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:
Misdemeanors
• Embezzlement – Alicia B. Thomas, born in 1989, 506 Front Street Extension, Meridian.
• Driving under the influence (DUI) – Lucas L. Dixon, born in 1982, 1906 17th St., Meridian. Dixon is also charged with child neglect.
Felony
• Fugitive from justice – Chad Micheal Brewster, 45, 1017 Sycamore, Ocean Springs.
Incident Reports
The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday to Wednesday:
Auto Burglary
• 1100 block of North Frontage Road, Meridian.
Commercial Burglary
• 1600 block of Tommy Webb Drive, Meridian.
Residential Burglaries
• 5600 block of Highway 80 West, Meridian.
• 1100 block of Clark Road, Meridian.
• 2000 block of 18th Street, Meridian.
Robbery
• 1700 block of Highway 39, Meridian.
Shootings
Meridian police responded to 1 shots-fired call. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the call.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:
• Possession of marijuana, more than 30 grams – Jordell Lurail Griffin, 31, 10302 Highway 39 North, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Marie Antionett Smith, 31, 701 54th Ave., Meridian. Smith is also charged with careless driving, driving without a license and no liability insurance.
• Attempted rape – Rico Sanchez Williams, 21, 2427 Fourth Ave., Meridian.
• DUI, second offense – Quanita Ann Smith, 26, 301 45th Ave., Meridian. Smith is also charged with careless driving, no liability insurance, driving with a suspended license, giving false ID information, disorderly conduct and three counts of failure to appear (justice court).

• Okatibbee Dam Road, Collinsville.
Intoxicated driver
• Seventh Street and 30th Avenue, Meridian.
• North Frontage Road and 65th Avenue, Meridian.
The Mississippi Department of Corrections reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:
• Probation violation/parole – Brandon Ray Crawford, 21, 595 Harper Road, Meridian.

Meridian Fire departments reported the following runs from Tuesday:

Ambulance Runs
Metro Ambulance reported 25 emergency runs Wednesday at 3 p.m.
