Syria, a Middle East war exciter and rebel with rumors of war ever spreading from Syria, is too much to handle by a don’t ask, don’t tell administration. The real capability of Syria is in the mind of Bashar Assad as he has boasted. “Destroy Damascus and I will still win.” Syria has more chemical weapons than China according to the experts.

    This is a significant capability when they include the Soviet built SS-21 missiles with multiple warhead that one rocket is capable of delivering to six different locations in each stage.  In addition, they have the latest scud missiles.  The question has been raised by asking, where did they get these weapons of mass destruction, chemical weapons?  Of course the liberal media could never admit that they could have come from Iraq.  Israel knew Assad had a nuclear program in 2007 and they destroyed it.  

    Israel’s northern border is adjacent to Syria, and Syria continues to pose a threat to peace in the Middle East.  When we read Ezekiel 38 and Daniel 11, God warned that the three major players in the invasion of Israel were to be Gog/Russia, Persia/Iran and Syria, the King of the North.  In Daniel 11:40 it refers to the King of the North and at the beginning of chapter 11, the King of the North is defined in the geographical location of Syria. The coalition between the nations in the Bible spoken of by God, have interacted with treaties, trade of war munitions and land use.  Russia has grabbed Crimea for a warm water port in the Black Sea.

    Syria has negotiated a long term lease with Russia which includes a rework of two deep warm water ports at Tartus and Latakia, Syria.  This sets the stage for a possible regional war to break out in alignment with Bible prophecy for the end times.  Daniel 11:40-43 tells us of nations that will gather as a part of a coalition to go against the Jewish state of Israel.  The civil war that has been going on in Syria for the last few years is actually setting the stage for this prophecy to be fulfilled.

    Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has stated there will be a confrontation between Iran and Israel.  God said this through his prophets some 2,500 years ago and recorded it.  However, Khamenei does not know the God of Abraham and the outcome will be different from the results expected by the Muslim leader.  The only commonality between the leader of Israel and the leader of Iran is the eventual war between their nations.  

    Ezekiel, the Jewish prophet who wrote, in 573 BC, described the Iranian-Israeli or Persia-Israeli conflict in Ezekiel 38:5.  This coalition of nations will align themselves against Israel to destroy the Jewish state as stated in Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83.  However, God is quite specific regarding the outcome recorded in Ezekiel 39:2 KJV & AMP.  The God of Abraham said, “And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee.”  What is God saying?  He will destroy 5 out of every 6 men in the war and He continues in the following verses.   

(Eze 39:4)  “Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee…(Eze 39:5)  “Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.”  Unfortunately, the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei does not know the God of Abraham. He only thinks he is right, and it is terrible to be wrong in life and death matters, when God is in total control.
