    PHILADELPHIA – Services for James Patrick Wilson will be today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Terry Ivy and Jack Kern officiating. Burial will follow in Cedarlawn Cemetery with military honors.  

    Mr. Wilson, 89, of Meridian, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, at his residence. He was born in Walnut Grove and graduated from Bloomo School in Neshoba County. He retired as a senior master sergeant from the United States Air Force. He volunteered for 15 years at the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Department and served as a lieutenant with their Auxiliary Officers. He loved to fly and read.

    Survivors include his wife, Mary Wilson of Meridian; daughters, Patricia Wilson of Montgomery, Ala., and Rachel Ashmore of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; sons, George Irvin Wilson of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Chuck Marshall of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Christopher Noojin of Montgomery, Ala., Travis Ashmore of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., James Adams Wilson of Tampa, Fla., and Robin Kinsey of North Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Kinsey, Leland Kinse and Oliver Wilson.

    He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
