Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

    Misdemeanors

    • Failure to pay (justice court), three counts – Charles Ray Yarbrough, 33, 3789 Dillard Road, Meridian.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), other substance – Arico Jydarius Johnson, 25, 720 26th St., Meridian. Johnson is also charged with contempt of court and switched tag/license plate.

    • Disturbing the peace – Frederica Lanier, born in 1990, 1601 52nd Ave., Meridian.

    • Disturbing the peace – Jacqueline Johnson, born in 1974, 1526 13th Ave., Meridian.

    

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday to Tuesday:

Commercial Burglary

    • 5500 block of North Frontage Road, Meridian.

Shootings

    • 4800 block of 55th Place, Meridian.

    • 1900 block of 26th Street, Meridian.

     Meridian police responded to 2 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Christian A. Burns, 60, 2001 25th Ave., Meridian. Burns is also charged with seat-belt violation.

    • DUI, first offense – Christopher Lloyd Chandler, 43, 182 County Road 327, Enterprise. Chandler is also charged with careless driving and no liability insurance.

    • DUI, first offense – Tyler Coker, 24, 10080 Road 513, Union. Coker is also charged with careless driving and possession of marijuana in a vehicle.

    • Probation violation/parole – Ivory Rico Edwards, 32, 2107 14th Ave., Meridian.

    • Failure to pay child support – Dentrey Jaquan Jones, 26, 2007 34th Ave., Meridian. Jones is also charged with probation violation/parole.

    • DUI, other substance – Josh Dewayne Kell, 30, 6338 Graham Cemetery Road, Meridian. Kell is aslo charged with switched tag/license plate.

    • Petit larceny, up to $1,000 – Johnnie James Latham, 48, 2202 Knox Road, Meridian.

    • Social hosting – Dustin McDaniel, 22, 9575 Highway 45 North, Lauderdale.

    • DUI, felony – Charles Dewayne Spencer, 51, 5142 Zero Road, Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana, first offense – Janero Jovata Thompson, 19, 2306 23rd St., Meridian.

    • Leaving the scene of an accident – Joshua Kane Tingler, 22, 8500 Villa Ridge Road, Meridian.

    • Simple assault – Vivian Latrice Watts, 26, 8972 Rasberry Road, Enterprise.

    • DUI, other substance – Aaron Dijon Williams, 27, 1619 Morgan Court, Mountainview, Calif. Williams is also careless driving, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana in vehicle, giving false ID information and fugitive from justice.

    • Possession of marijuana, first offense – Dilan Grant Williams, 18, 343 Cresent Lake Road, Meridian.

    • Petit larceny, up to $1,000 – Andrew Dale Wofford, 25, 3610 Suqualena Meehan Road, Meridian. Wofford is also charged with driving with a suspended license.

    The Mississippi Department of Corrections reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:
