PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) — The president of the Singing River Health System’s Board of Trustees says three longtime members of the board will step down in keeping with a settlement agreement between the board, Jackson County leaders and attorneys for retirees who sued the county hospital systems over a failed pension plan.
The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1mXxxei) Michael Heidelberg, president of the SRHS Board of Trustees, sent a letter to the media saying three senior members of the board have agreed to step down immediately — Ira Polk, Tommy Leonard and himself.
