Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:
Misdemeanors
• Willful trespassing, second offense – Deandre Walker, 20, 2714 State Boulevard, Meridian.
• Shoplifting – Bruce W. Hayes, born in 1956, 9162 Whipporwill Road, Meridian. Hayes is also charged with trespassing.
• Shoplifting – Bon R. Sonak, born in 1991, 2308 Old Eighth Street Road, Meridian.
• Simple assault – Johnny Thomas, born in 1995, 612 14th Ave., Meridian.
• Trespassing, second offense – Amanda Day, born in 1989, 801 B St., Meridian.
• Trespassing, second offense – Jamillon Benomon, born in 1990, homeless.
Incident Reports
The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday to Tuesday:
Auto Burglary
• 4500 block of Valley Street, Meridian.
Residential Burglaries
• 3500 block of 31st Street, Meridian.
Shootings
• 100 block of Highway 19 North, Meridian.
Meridian police responded to one shots-fired call. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the call.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:
• Failure to appear (justice court), three counts – Fatima Brantley, 26, 200 College St., York, Ala.
• Failure to pay (justice court) – Andra Demario Brown, 28, 1918 22nd Ave., Meridian.
• Failure to pay child support – Joseph Leshon Johnson, 46, 2226 20th Ave., Meridian.
• Public drunkenness – Christopher Brian Miller, 34, 3719 Lakeview Golfcourse Road, Meridian.

Meridian Fire departments reported the following runs from Monday:

Metro Ambulance reported 31 emergency runs Tuesday at 3 p.m.
