    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

    Misdemeanors

    • Possession of marijuana – Christopher Wade, born in 1993, 6512 North Hills St., Meridian.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI) – Victor Terry, born in 1962, 6712 Brown St., Meridian. Terry is also charged with disregard for traffic device and careless driving.

    • Simple assault – Labyran Burrage, born in 1986, 2426 Old Marion Road, Meridian.

    • Disturbance of a business – Muzzettia Barfield, born in 1984, 1318 19th St., Meridian.

    • DUI – Eddie Whitehead, born in 1985, 100 Holiday Circle, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Kim Hayes, born in 1984, 1824 Bunk Newell Road, Meridian.

    • DUI – Belinda Logan, born in 1984, 2211 13th Ave., Meridian. Logan is also charged with wrong way on a one way.

    • DUI – Jonathan Iniro-Romer, born in 1994, 2204 20th Ave., Meridian. Romer is also charged with speeding, driving without a license and no liability insurance.

    • Shoplifting – Fonda White, born in 1979, 138 Hatcher Road, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Rodericus Latham, born in 1988, 285 Radcliff Road, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Lorianna Thomas, born in 1986, 231 Oswald Road, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Sherry Davis, born in 1972, 205 Mallard Drive, Meridian.

    • Simple assault, two counts – Joseph Gamble, born in 1974, 1604 18th Ave., Meridian.

    • Carrying a concealed weapon – Shawn M. North, born in 1993, 6197 Shady Pine Drive, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct – Jamison C. Taylor, born in 1979, 809 Jason Cove, Meridian. Taylor is also charged with trespassing.

    • Domestic violence – Derrick Lamar Harold, 46, 106 30th Place, Meridian.

    • Leaving the scene of an accident – Nathan Nix Jr., 27, 366 Terry Road, Lauderdale.

    • Disorderly conduct – Jamie C. Taylor, 36, 809 Jason Cove, Brandon. Taylor is also charged with trespassing.

Robberies

    • 1800 block of North Frontage Road, Meridian.

    • 1700 block of Highway 39 Bypass, Meridian.

    

Stolen Vehicles

    • 5200 block of Highway 493, Meridian.

    • 2800 block of 25th Street, Meridian.

Shootings

    Meridian police responded to 10 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Possession of methamphetamine – John M. Avery III, 44, 232 C&C Riley Lane, Shubuta. Avery is also being held for outside agency.

    • Filing false police report – Lenda Faye Nix, 48, 8554 Highway 495, Meridian.

    • Failure to pay child support – Rodney Lee Powell, 42, 3201 24th St., Meridian.
