Services for Benjamin Paul Moore will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Shannon Thornhill officiating and the Revs. Glen McLeod, Larry Hill and A.M. Mansfield assisting.
Mr. Moore, 84, of Quitman, passed away Sunday. He was a retired printer for McGregor Printing. Remembered for his love of working with his hands, he was a very skilled handyman who loved and adored his grandchildren. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Quitman.
Survivors include his sons, Bruce Moore (Brenda) of Toomsuba, David Moore (Rita) of Jackson and Larry Moore of Leakesville; grandchildren, Jerome Moore (Tara), Lashae Mashburn (Jerrod), Ashley Seigle (Jason), Shane Moore (Amanda), Paul Moore (Stevie), Melissa Cash (Donnie), Kimberly Moore, Jennifer Litchfield (Jay) and Kristina Name (Mick); 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Naomi White (Titus) and Joanna Skinner (Kary); and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Brucie Moore; wife, Edith Moore; and sisters, Rachel Moore and Ester Eaks.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons.
Visitation will be today, from 5-8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
