Tena B. Brown

Services for Tena B. Brown will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services with Pastor Mark Flynn officiating. Burial will follow in Lockhart Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown, age 84, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec.12, 2015, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
Before her retirement, Mrs. Brown was vice president of First United Bank in charge of marketing for more than a decade. Later she started and co-owned Southern Agencies Real Estate, Insurance, and Employment, LLC.
Tena was involved in civic organizations her whole life and is fondly remembered as a DeMolay mom. She was responsible for the first handicapped parking, and access ramps in Meridian.
She was the most loving, wonderful, and giving person, mother, and grandmother. Tena never met a stranger and always made sure everyone she loved was taken care of. She was the most unselfish and kind person you could meet and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her daughter, Laurie Brown Gibson (Butch) and her son, Glenn B. Brown (Dawn); grandchildren, Ryan Feltman, Robert Brown, Emily Petellat, Allison Brown, Cole Brown, Clark Gibson, and Leigh Ann Bonvillian; sister, Louise McKinnon; and nieces, Bonnie Beason, Betty Fountain, Kathy Swartzfager, Judy McDonald; and nephew, Larry Temple.
Tena was preceded in death by her husband E.P. “Sonny” Brown; her sons, Mike Brown and Ronny Brown; parents, Robert Edgar and Jewel Beason; brother, Robert Earl Beason; and sister, Lucille Temple.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Feltman, Robert Brown, Cole Brown, Greg Fountain, Jim Swartzfager, Henry Wilson, and Karl Springer.
