Walker, Batum lead Hornets past Grizzlies 123-99

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Kemba Walker had 33 points and six assists, Nicolas Batum added 20 points and the Charlotte Hornets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 123-99 on Friday night for their fourth straight win.

Charlotte converted 18 of 37 shots from 3-point range, with Walker and Batum each shooting 5 of 8 from beyond the arc.

Jeremy Lin scored 16 points for Charlotte and helped key a second-quarter rally that erased an early Memphis advantage. Frank Kaminsky finished with 15 points and six rebounds while Jeremy Lamb added 10 points.

Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 17 points and nine rebounds, and Mike Conley added 16 points. Zach Randolph had 13 points and Courtney Lee added 12 as Memphis lost for the third time in the last five outings.

The game marked the second consecutive rout of the Grizzlies at home. Memphis lost by 37 to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday.

Charlotte’s 3-point shooting accuracy helped the Hornets shoot 50 percent from the field for the game.

Charlotte already had erased a first-half double-digit Memphis lead when it opened the third quarter with a 15-4 rally.
