GULFPORT – Services for Mary Frances Rawlings Milsted will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s by the Sea Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Milsted, 84, of Gulfport, passed away Monday, Nov. 30, 2015. She was born in Meridian on Dec. 20, 1930. She married David Franklin Milsted on Aug. 29, 1947, and they remained devoted to each other until his death in May 2013. She was a loving wife and mother who never hesitated to share her love and kindness to all she met. She was a dedicated faithful member of St. Peter’s by the Sea Episcopal Church where she served on the Altar Guild for over 50 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Gay (Mike) Baird of Huntsville, Ala., and Edith Ann Milsted of Meridian; beloved granddaughter, Gina Madison of Huntsville, Ala.; niece, Joyce (Peter) Weiss of Longview, Texas; and nephews, Jimmy Carl (Jill) O’Quinn of Longview, Texas, James Thomas Rawlings of Meridian, and David Clinton (Rowena) Rawlings of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Milsted; parents, Clinton and Bessie Rawlings; sisters, Elizabeth Rawlings and Edith O’Quinn; and brother, the Rev. James Clinton Rawlings.
The family would like to thank physicians, Dr. Pamela Tuli and Dr. Manojkumar Shah, and their staff as well as the nurses and aides of Gulfport Memorial Hospital for the loving care they provided. Most especially the family would like to thank Father Patrick Sanders and the members of her St. Peter’s family for their love and support.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
