Hallie Claire Harrington Bidgood

    Memorial services for Hallie Claire Harrington Bidgood will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Bidgood graduated from Meridian High School in 1946. She was a member of the Dusty Social Club and attended Ole Miss, where she was selected as class beauty and was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She married Charles “Bubber” Bidgood on December 26, 1948. Claire was a member of the Meridian Junior Auxiliary and was a Phi Kappa Fraternity Mom. She was a substitute teacher at Meridian High School, enjoyed bowling with friends, deep sea fishing, Ole Miss sports(especially football), and being with her family.     

    Survivors include her children, Charles S. (Kathy) Bidgood III, John David Bidgood, and Sally Kate (BB) Archer; grandchildren, Hallie Claire Archer, Anne Clay Archer, Sally Kate Archer, Charles S. “Bo” Bidgood IV, and Catheryn Brooke Bidgood.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles S. Bidgood Jr.; parents, James S. and Hallie Anderson Harrington; brothers, Col. William Harrington, Edwin Harrington, Joe Louis Harrington, Fred Harrington, and John “Tiny” Harrington.

    Visitation will be Saturday, from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.

    The family requests memorials be made to charity of your choice.
