Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:

    Misdemeanors

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – William A. Laster, 27, 12411 Newton St., Broomfield, Colo. Laster is also charged with careless driving, no liability insurance, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

    • Contempt of Court – Tyesha Harrison, born in 1989, 467 Jeffery Acres Road.        

    • Trespassing – Frederica Lanier, born in 1990, 1509 18th Ave.    

    • Trespassing – Robert Brunson, born in    1977,  4100 9th St. Apt 1204

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday to Wednesday:

Residential Burglaries

    • 4000 block of 31st Avenue, Meridian.

    • 200 block of 23rd Street, Meridian.

Shootings

     Meridian police responded to  three shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Tuesday and 8:43 a.m. Wednesday:

    • Burglary of commercial building, cars, etc. – Deion Rashawn Cole, 20, 32 Betts Radcliff Road, Toomsuba. Cole is also being charged with probation violation/parole.

    • DUI, felony – Johnathan Antwan Gaines, 29, 801 First St., Meridian. Gaines is also charged with contempt of court and failure to pay (justice court).

    • Probation violation/parole – Mondreka Antonio Martin, 23, 4704 Paulding St., Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Michael D. Portis, 39, 5806 Mosby Road, Meridian. Portis is also charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, simple assault and two counts of child endangerment.

    • Possession of marijuana, more than 30 grams – Roderick Timothy Wiley II, 27, 3319 Davis St., Meridian.

Wiley is also charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of controlled substance and felon in possession of firearm.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents from Tuesday to Wednesday:

Burglary

    • Lizelia Road, Meridian.

Theft

    • Henry Boswell Road, Meridian.

    • Valley Road, Meridian.

Intoxicated driver

    • King Road at Highway 495, Meridian.

Fire Runs

 

    Meridian Fire departments reported the following runs from Monday:

    • Vehicle accident, Interstate 20

    • False alarm, Highway 11 and 80

    • Arcing/shorted electrical equipment, South Frontage Road

    • Arcing/shorted electrical equipment, Tenth Avenue

    • Power line down, 28th Avenue

    • Vehicle accident, Eighth Street

    • Emergency Medical Service (EMS), Lakeview Golf Course Road (Southeast)

    • MVA, Interstate 59 (Lost Gap)

Ambulance Runs

    Metro Ambulance reported 30 emergency runs Tuesday at 3 p.m.
