QUILTERS DONATE TO CARE LODGE

- The Carousel Quilters of Meridian recently donated 35 hand-sewn pillowcases to the Care Lodge, a domestic violence shelter. The quilters guild, which has 13 members, presented the pillowcases to Leslie Payne, executive director of The Care Lodge. The donation was part of the “1 Million Pillowcases” sponsored by American Patchwork and Quilting magazine. The purpose of the challenge is to make pillowcases to donate to a local charity. the magazine provides patterns as well as instructions for making the pillowcases.
