    Graveside services for Janelle O. Clay will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at  Magnolia Cemetery.

    Mrs. Clay, 85, of Meridian, passed away Friday, Oct. 16, 2015. She graduated from Meridian High School and attended University of Southern Mississippi. Her love for children led her to become a daycare teacher. She was employed for most of her career at Poplar Springs Baptist Church, where she taught music and art. She enjoyed art, sewing, cooking, reading, gardening and singing in the choir at First Baptist Church.

     Survivors include her son, William (Bill) H. Clay and his wife Wanda; daughter, Linda C. Clay; son, Mark L. Clay; grandchildren, Denia Barrier and Tana Causey; and a great-grandchild, Bella Grace Barrier.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Sims and Ethel Pope Sims White; brothers, Leon and Leonard Sims; husband, Leroy H. Clay; and a daughter, Olivia Ann Clay.
