David Wayne Speed

   Services for David Speed will be today at 11 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gib Prince and Kenny McGill officiating.

    Mr. Speed, 57, of Daleville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a well-known master electrician in the Meridian area for many years. He enjoyed hunting and archery. He was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. David was a loving husband, father, brother, friend, and soon to be grandfather. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

    Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Ruth Speed; son, Jason Speed and wife, Jessica; granddaughter, Aurora Leigh Speed; brothers, Rusty Speed and wife, Michelle, Michael Speed and wife, Edie; sister, Kathy Griffin and husband, Kevin; mother-in-law, Bonnie McWilliams; sister-in-law, Jeanne McWilliams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, John Speed and Betty Woodrick;

father-in-law, James McWilliams; and step-father, Wayne Woodrick.
