Russell, Brittain

   Emily Kay Brittain and Jonathan Christopher Russell were married Friday, May 15, 2015, at 6:30 p.m. at Moffitt Oaks Ranch in Tomball, Texas, with the Rev. Russell Hall officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Patrick and Sharron Brittain of Houston, Texas, and William and Sue Russell of Meridian.

    Grandparents of the bride are Lillie Ruth Stroud and the late Earl Preston Stroud of Beaumont, Texas, and the late Patricia Jane Brittain and Roy Lee Brittain Jr. of Beaumont, Texas.   

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are the late Inez Marie and Slater Sikes of Silas, Ala., Sammye Dahlberg of Walnut Grove, Ala., and the late Bill R. Russell of Gadsden, Ala.  

    Music was provided by cellist, Divisi Strings.  

    The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a champagne pink Allure ball gown dressed with a lace applique torso with a sweetheart neckline and a sheer beaded back. The Swarovski crystal belt divided at the waistline to accentuate the ruffled triple layered tulle skirt. A fingertip-length veil was trimmed with crystal accents.

    Serving as maid of honor was Sara Eriksen of Houston, Texas.   

    Other bridesmaids were Johanna Brustmeyer, Catherine Holsinger, and Stefany Watson, all of Houston, Texas.  

    Ava and Lauren Garza were flower girls.

    Serving as best man was Matt Keen of Meridian.  

    Groomsmen were Craig Havens, Clint Thornton, and brother of the bride, Justin Brittain, all of Houston, Texas.

    Andrew Meyer served as usher.

    “Cotton,” a German Short-Haired Pointer belonging to the bridegroom, served as ring bearer.       Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Moffitt Oaks Ranch.

    After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Houston, Texas.
