East Central Community College in Decatur is offering the GED Ready practice test for $1 through Oct. 31, 2015, in a special back-to-school promotion.

Ryan Clarke, director of Adult Basic Education/GED Testing at ECCC, said that students who take the practice test can see if they are ready to pass the test, determine the skills they need to work on to pass the test, and receive a personalized study plan detailing pages and chapters to study in their favorite study books.

Students who take the GED Ready practice test during the back-to-school special will also be eligible for the GED Ready Practice Test Guarantee. If a student scores “Likely to Pass” on the practice test and does not pass the official GED test in that test subject, they can retake the test for free.

Students can also learn about classes and other resources to help them prepare for the GED test, also known as the high school equivalency diploma test.
