Mr. and Mrs. Brady Rushing of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Kellie Anne, to Jesse Michael Luke, son of Christi Luke of Meridian and Mike Luke of Chunky.
The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. at Northcrest Baptist Church.
Ms. Rushing is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rushing of Meridian, Ms. Bobbye Knight and the late Mr. Lois Knight of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a magna cum laude graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education and a master of science degree in clinical and mental health counseling. She is also a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School.
While attending MSU, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi education honor society, Future Educator’s Association and Rehabilitation Association of Mississippi.
Ms. Luke is employed at the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services.
Mr. Luke is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Albert “Hack” McMullen of Meridian and Ms. Johnnie Jean Luke and the late Mr. Jerry Luke of Chunky.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a degree in risk management and insurance. He is also a graduate of Newton County High School.
While attending Ole Miss, he was president of Sigma Pi fraternity, a member of the Risk Management and Insurance Society, Phi Theta Kappa, and listed in “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities.”
Mr. Luke is employed by Traveler’s Insurance.
A reception will be held at Meridian Museum of Art.
