• Savannah Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 6218 D Street, will have Homecoming Service August 16 at 3 p.m. with Rev. W.C. Brown as guest speaker. Fall revival services will follow from Aug. 17-19 at 7 p.m. nightly. Speakers include: Monday – Rev. Harley Milsap from Jerusalem M.B.C., Tuesday – Rev. Johnny Qualls from Mt. 5 p.m. – Mount Olive M.B. Church, 544 James Chaney Avenue, will have a Kick-off Celebration.

10:30 a.m. – Mount Olive M.B. Church, 544 James Chaney Avenue, will celebrate their 91st anniversary with a Homecoming Service. Guest speaker will be Rev. C.E. Lewis III, from Ypsilanti, Mich. A Mortgage Burning Program will follow starting at 2 p.m. with Rev. Billy Russell from Minneapolis, Mich. speaking.
11 a.m. – Druid Hills United Methodist Church, 3565 State Boulevard, will have Homecoming. Speaker will be Rev. Gary H. Knight. Lunch will follow service. No Sunday School. Dress casual.
1:30 p.m. – New Beginning UMC in Porterville will have their “Men And Women” program. Everyone is invited to attend. Minister Charlotte Malone is pastor.
2:30 p.m. – Men’s Day will be observed at the Sunlight MB Church, 214 47th Avenue. Guest speaker will be Rev. Timothy Jones from Mount Zion MB Church.
