Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday:

    Misdemeanors

    • Simple assault – Monty O. Cole Jr., born in 1981, 2128 30th Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Rebecca T. Koch, born in 1959.

    • Shoplifting – Annie P. Hardy, born in 1955.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), refusal to take test – Justin Cody Gann, 26, 5939 Hidden Valley Road, McCalla, AL. Gann is also charged with failure to yield to blue light/siren.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday:

    • Armed robbery – Kevorkian Dehon Grace, 22, 208 Third Ave. South, Meridian.

    • Possession of weapon on educational property – Demetrice Dontray Johnson, 19, 1120 34th St., Meridian.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents from Thursday to Friday:

Burglary

    • Will Garrett Road, Toomsuba.

Theft

    • Centerhill Road, Meridian.

    • Briarwood Road, Meridian.

Mississippi Department of Corrections

    The Mississippi Department of Corrections reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Thursday and 8:43 a.m. Friday:

    • Probation violation/parole – Justin Javon Easley, 25, 5324 Brannon Price Road, Meridian.

    • Probation violation/parole – James Dylan Evans, 23, 3663 Dunrovin Road, Meridian. Evans is also charged with domestice violence.

    • Burglary of commercial building, cars, etc. – Melvin Lewis Holesome, 52, 2909 26th Ave., Meridian.

    • Probation violation/parole – Roylando Santez McAllister, 34, 918 38th Ave., Meridian.

Fire run

    Meridian Fire departments reported the following runs from Thursday:

    • False alarm, Roebuck Drive

    • Grass fire, Highway 19 North

    • Brush fire, Bonita Lakes Drive

    • Gas leak, Waterview Drive

    • Building fire, Fourth Avenue

    • Medical assist, Fourth Avenue
