Graveside services for Peggy Jane Hall Tanner will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Webb officiating. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tanner, 72, of Maumelle, Ark., passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Baptist Hospital.
Peggy attended Flour Bluff High School, Flour Bluff, Texas, and received her degree in business from Durham’s College. Mrs. Tanner worked as an accountant for Lamar, Kemp and Swain and retired as an accountant there. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maumelle, Ark.
Survivors include three sisters, Jewel Margaret Singleton of Willis, Texas, Betty Lou Hampton of Flour Bluff, Texas, and Jimmie Elaine Ford of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Martin Douglas Tanner of Maumelle, Ark., and William Ralph Tanner of Bishop, Texas; two daughters-in-law, Jackie Jo Tanner of Maumelle, Ark. and Christina Marie Tanner of Bishop, Texas; six grandchildren: Tate Richardson Tanner and Darby Hall Tanner of Maumelle, Ark., Alejandro Jose Almeida Tanner of Bishop, Texas, Donald Eugene Tanner III, Daniel E. Tanner and Elisheba Tanner of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Douglas Hall, and her mother, Maulcie Marie Hall, of Flour Bluff, Texas; her husband, Donald Eugene Tanner Sr. of Maumelle, Ark.; and her son, Donald Eugene Tanner Jr. of Louisa, Ky.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to New Hope Baptist Church, Meridian.
Pallbearers will be Martin Douglas Tanner, Tate Richardson Tanner, William Ralph Tanner, Alejandro Jose Almeida Tanner and Robert Livingston.
Visitation will be held today, from 5-?7 p.m., at the funeral home.
