Miss Laurel crowned 2015 Miss Hospitality

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Laurel’s Erin Morgan has been crowned Mississippi’s new Miss Hospitality.

Morgan said Saturday night she was overjoyed to be chosen.

Morgan is a senior at Mississippi State University, where she is pursuing a degree in kinesiology. She plans to use her degree to attend physical therapy school.

The Hattiesburg American reports (http://hatne.ws/1M6bAn4) this is the third time a Miss Laurel contestant has won the crown. The 2007 winner was a Miss Laurel contestant, as was the winner back in 1954.

First runner was Anna Tatum McPherson, Miss Madison County.

The pageant concluded Saturday night at Hattiesburg’s Saenger Theater. Twenty-nine contestants competed in the 66th annual Miss Hospitality Pageant.
