Mr. and Mrs. Dewey McDade Jr. of Meridian celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on Thursday, July 23, 2015, at Holy Remnant Church. The event was hosted by their six children: Beverly (Leon) Knox, Cynthia McDade, Tammie McDade, Dewey McDade III and Nikki (Marco) Smith, all of Meridian, and Christina Brookins of Oxford. The couple has nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. McDade is retired and Mrs. McDade is a self-employed seamstress. Mrs. McDade is the former Clarice Brookins of Enterprise.
