Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Armed robbery – Darrel Lake, 23, 701 Oswalt Ave., York, Ala.

    • Abusive calls to emergency phone (E911) – Tunsyaan Stennis, 36, 1011 44th Ave., Meridian. Stennis is also charged with giving false information.

    • Petit larceny – LaWalter Mitchell, born in 1986, 506 Front St. Ext., Meridian.

    

    Incident Reports

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Monday to Tuesday:

Auto Burglary

     • 800 block of 15th Court East, Meridian.

    

Residential Burglary

    • 2800 block of Highland Avenue, Meridian.

Robbery

    • 1500 block of Tommy Webb Drive, Meridian.

    

Shootings

     Meridian police responded to 2 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s      Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Markasia Dane Baylor, 17, 2023 Highway 496, Meridian. Baylor is also charged with careless driving, driving without a license and violation of insurance card in vehicle law.

    • Burglary of dwelling, house – Brandy Necole Holley, 37, 903 64th Ave., Meridian.

    • Obtaining controlled substance by fraudulent means – Natalyn Ann Nason, 56, 109 Cedar Grove Parkway, Maylene, Ala.

    • Burglary of dwelling, house – Justin Brian Wilkes, 38, 903 64th Ave., Meridian.

    • Highway 11 and 80, Meridian.

    The Mississippi Department of Corrections reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Monday and 8:43 a.m. Tuesday:

    • Probation violation/parole – Fredrick Dewayne Cockrell, 34, 6404 43rd Court, Meridian.
