Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:
• Shoplifting – Wanda Lawson, 40, 8058 Attala Road, West.
• Shoplifting – Whitney S. Lemon, born in 1989, 107 71st Place, Meridian.
• Simple assault – Jennifer L. Taylor, born in 1988, 2670 Highway 496, Meridian.
• Public drunk – Daniel C. Chisolm, 60, 4681 Valley Road, Lot 22, Meridian.
• Animal permitted to run at large – Randle K. Fisher, born in 1969, 6308 20th St. Ext., Meridian.
• Simple assault – Jeffery Montrell Taylor, 21, 1108 26th Ave., Meridian. Taylor is also charged with improper equipment, reckless driving, failure to yield to blue lights/siren, violation of insurance card in vehicle law, seat-belt violation, driving with a suspended license, disobeying traffic control device, resisting arrest, and statutory rape.
• Simple assault – Veronica Moorehouse, born in 1962, 3117 Savell Drive, Meridian.
• Simple assault – Michael D. Sears, born in 1979, 2427 Fourth Ave., Meridian.
• Embezzlement – Kimbreyanna S. Morris, 20, 2015 Mosby Road, K-2, Meridian.
• Contempt for child support, three counts – Ronald Glenn Brassfield, 55, 1504 18th Ave., Meridian. Brassfield is also being held for outside agency.

• 2700 block of State Boulevard, Meridian.
• 2100 block of 25th Avenue, Meridian.
• 3700 block of 19th Street, Meridian.
• 2000 block of 27th Avenue, Meridian.
Robbery
• 2400 block of 67th Avenue, Meridian.
Shootings
• 2100 block of 25th Avenue, Meridian.
Meridian police responded to 3 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.
Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:
• Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Damont Shonvon Barrett, 21, 4524 Hwy 39 N., Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Mark M. Baylor, 40, 2023 Hwy 496, Meridian. Baylor is also charged with no liability insurance and driving with a suspended license.
• DUI, first offense – Randruis Qujshawn Bryant, 21, 5500 Valley St., Meridian. Bryant is also charged with running a stop sign.
• Aggravated assault – Hubert L. Childs Jr., 66, 3112 Rob Sims Road, Meridian.
• DUI, third offense – Breanna Katelyn Guthrie, 20, 6591 Sunny Lane, Toomsuba.
• DUI, first offense – Cavaleer Bennett Henderson, 47, 2218 47th Ave., Meridian. Henderson is also charged with careless driving and violation of insurance card in vehicle law.
• DUI, first offense – Bruce R. Hobden, 31, 8119 Pinewood Drive, Meridian. Hobden is also charged with running a stop sign.
• DUI, second offense – Larry Huggins, 50, 3807 Valley St., Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Randall Tito Lake, 37, 582 Willow Pond Court, Orlando, Fla. Lake is also charged with careless driving.
• DUI, second offense – Anthony Deshawn Miller, 25, 4305 Paulding St., Meridian. Miller is also charged with driving without headlights, seat-belt violation, two counts of violation of child restraint law and two counts of child endangerment.
• DUI, first offense – Lonnie J. Nicholson Jr., 51, 497 Murphy Road, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Robert Mitchell Perdue, 34, 201 W. Castlewood Drive, Selma, Ala. Perdue is also charged with disregard of traffic device.
• DUI, first offense – Hannah Rose, 20, 5906 Oak St., Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Cedric Dewayne Silliman, 30, 2611 Green Loop Road, Lauderdale. Silliman is also charged with no liability insurance, careless driving and driving with a suspended license.
• DUI, first offense – Kevin M. Stewart, 50, 4067 Causeyville Road, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Thomas W. Stokes, 22, 863 Briarwood Road, Meridian. Stokes is also charged with improper equipment.
• DUI, first offense – Tom D. Sumlin, 49, 1467 CR 39, Paulding.
