Marion PD receives donation

The Marion Police Department has been presented a new filing cabinet from Southern Business Supply in Marion.
Southern Business Supply owner Jeanne Calvert Jones said the cabinet was donated to the police department for the good they do in the town of Marion.

“We’ve been blessed and we want to bless them,” Calvert said. “They are so good to us, and we feel safe with them here.”
Marion Police Captain Ondray Harris said the department will make good use of the filing cabinet.
“We will put a lot of our contempt, and drug case reports in it,” Harris said. Marion Alderman Lisa Lindley, who is also an employee of Southern Business, expressed appreciation to the police department
“We just want to thank the police force for protecting the employees, and customers in the store, and in the town,” Lindley said. “We are good friends, not just police and vendor in the town.”
