The Rev. Wayne and Sarah Campbell of Chunky will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception Saturday, June 20, 2015, from 2- 4 p.m. at Chunky Baptist Church.

The couple were married June 12, 1965, at Smithville Baptist Church in Smithville. The Campbells have three children: Brad and Susan Campbell of Livingston, Ala., Brett and Donna Campbell of Hickory and Amber and Gabe Swann of Chunky; and 10 grandchildren, Shelby Campbell, Tobie Campbell, Jessie Clement, Haley Campbell, Devon Campbell, Michelle Campbell, Britain Campbell, Emma Campbell, Eva Swann and Lily Swann. The Rev. Campbell is retired as pastor of Chunky Baptist, where he served 27 years. He is currently interim pastor at Good Hope Baptist Church in Hickory. Mrs. Campbell, the former Sarah Juanita Sanders, is a retired teacher with the Newton County School District. Friends and family are invited to the reception.
