Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

    • Domestic violence – Joanna Dorn, 39, 4310 58th Place, Meridian.

    • Trespassing – Kenneth Nobles, 53, 1621 24th Ave., Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Tina D. Gavin, born in 1966, 110 42nd Ave., Meridian. Gavin is also charged with giving false information.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), James D. Cook, born in 1973, 24 Longbranch St., Hattiesburg. Cook is also charged with violation of insurance card in vehicle law.

    • Disorderly conduct – Ventrell Ruffin, born in 1991, 2412 County Road 45, Meridian. Ruffin is also charged with resisting arrest and seat-belt violation.

    • Simple assault on a minor – Ashley R. Gill, born in 1988, 107 71st Place, Meridian.

    • Trespassing- Jamie Kelly, born in 1977, 351 D Sweet Gum Bottom Road, Meridian.

    • Failure to pay child support – Fernando R. Phillips, 32, 2503 D St. Apt. D4, Meridian.

    • Failure to appear (justice court) – Carlos James Jones, 26, 2105 18th Ave., Meridian.

    • Simple assault causing bodily injury – Brittany Chandler, 21, 1362 Lane Oak Park, Meridian.
