Mr. Boggan, Miss Cumberland

    Donna Hemphill of Decatur and Jeff Cumberland of Hickory are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Calli Cumberland, to Matthew Boggan, son of Debbie and Charles Boggan of Decatur.  

    The bride-elect is granddaughter of Hart Chamblee and the late Nina Gail Chamblee of Duck Hill and Linda and Ed Cumberland of Newton.

    Miss Cumberland is a 2007 graduate of Newton County High School. After graduating from East Central Community College, she received a master’s degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Occupational Therapy.

    She is employed with Pioneer Community Hospital of Newton as an Occupational Therapist.

    The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Lola Addy and the late Cecil Addy of Decatur and Iris Boggan and the late Dr. Austin Boggan of Decatur.

    Mr. Boggan is a 2002 graduate of Newton County High School. After graduating from East Central Community College, he received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Mississippi State University.  

    He is employed with the Mississippi Air National Guard as a KC-135R pilot.

    Vows will be exchanged on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 5:00 in the afternoon at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church in Decatur, with reception to follow at the American Legion Hut.  

    Friends and relatives are invited to attend.

    The happy couple will reside in Decatur.
