Alexander, Barry

    Mrs. Sandra Alexander of Little Rock announces the engagement of her daughter, Summer Leigh, to John Merritt Barry, son of Mr. John Richard Barry and Mrs. Cheri Barry of Meridian. Miss Alexander is also the daughter of the late Mr. Noel Bruce Alexander.

    The wedding will be Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 5:30 p.m. at Episcopal Church of the Mediator.

    Miss Alexander is the granddaughter of Mrs. Maxinee Alexander and the late Mr. Dale Alexander and Mrs. Edna Lee Helms and the late Mr. Jimmy Helms.

    The bride-elect is a 2009 graduate of Newton County High School. She will graduate from the University of Mississippi with a master of occupational therapy degree in May.

    Mr. Barry is the grandson of Mrs. Jean Merritt and the late Mr. George Merritt and Mrs. Tommye Lue Barry and the late Mr. John Barry.

    The bridegroom-elect is a 2011 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of criminology degree. He is a 2006 graduate of Meridan High School.

    Mr. Barry is employed by East Mississippi State Hospital and the Clark County Sheriff’s Department.
