Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

    • Interfere with duties of police – Richard Elliot Billingsley, 27, 4647 Hwy 19 N. Lot H, Meridian.

    • Domestic violence – Jason L. Ledlow, 41, 1719 Hwy 19 N. Apt 47, Meridian.

    • Shoplifting – Stacey Thompson, 43, 103 Shields Road A, Meridian. Thompson is also charged with simple assault, MS compulsory school attendance law and larceny less than tresspass (joyriding).

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Demario D. Waldrup, 27, 6224 Cherry St., Meridian. Waldrup is also charged with running a stop sign, no liability insurance, leaving the scene of an accident and expired tag.

    • Disorderly conduct – Angela D. Williams, 38, 301 63rd Place, Meridian.

    • Stalking, second offense – Gary P. Stancil, born in 1965, 8111 King Road, Meridian.

    • Malicious mischief – Fredrick L. Jones, born in 1993, 1924 34th Ave., Meridian. Jones is also charged with wilfull trespassing.

    • Disorderly conduct – Jennifer Naylor, born in 1980, 5354 8th St., Meridian. Naylor is also charged with resisting arresst.

    • Possession of marijuana – Cardiss L. Moore, born in 1982, 1438 46th Ave., Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana – Karos L. Baylor, born in 1979, 2700 29th Ave., Meridian. Baylor is also charged with disorderly conduct.

    • Disorderly conduct – James R. Lovett Jr., born in 1971, 816 Scruggs Road.

Auto Burglaries

     • 100 block of 38th Court, Meridian.

    • 6800 block of Tenth Avenue, Meridian.

    • 100 block of 34th Avenue, Meridian.

    • 2700 block of 45th Street, Meridian.

    • 5800 block of Magnolia Drive, Meridian.

    • 900 block of Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian.

    • 1300 block of Roebuck Drive, Meridian.

    • 2000 block of 33rd Avenue, Meridian.

Residential Burglaries

    • 700 block of Martin Luther King Drive, Meridian.

Robberies

    • 1700 block of North Frontage Road, Meridian.

    • 100 block of Highway 11 and 80 East, Meridian.

Shootings

     Meridian police responded to 11 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

    • DUI, first offense – Caleb O. Bennett, 32, 5051 Shiloh-Vimville Road, Meridian. Bennett is also charged with disorderly conduct.

    • DUI, first offense – William Michael Booker, 50, 3405 Hwy 19 S., Meridian. Booker is also charged with reckless driving.

    • DUI, first offense – Marcus Chad Brooks, 40, 10423 Masonic Lodge Road, Meridian. Brooks is also charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

    • DUI, first offense – Marvell E. Buckley, 40, 1602 16th St., Meridian.

    • Suspended drivers license – Richard Luther Coburn III, 26, 541 Evanston Road, Hattisburg. Coburn is also charged with no license tag.

    • Possession of methamphetamine – Stephanie Dawn Compton, 39, 2695 Hwy 496, Meridian. Compton is also charged with shoplifting, no liability insurance and expired tag.

    • DUI, first offense – Kenitta Nicole Cooley-Tidmore, 30, 100 Westend Ct. D1, York, AL. Tidmore is also charged with careless driving.

    • Child support failure to pay – Jamarkolis T. Crowell, 30, 2023 10th Ave., Meridian. Crowell is also charged with disorderly conduct, seat-belt violation, careless driving, resisting arrest, failure to yield to blue light siren, suspended drivers license and insurance card law in vehicle.

    • Disorderly conduct – Jeremy Vann Goforth, 33, 8144 Hickory Drive, Covington, GA. Goforth is also charged with resisting arrest.

    • Failure to pay (justice court) – Derek Earl Robinson, 10415 CR 430, Clarke.

    • DUI, second offense – Jessie Lee Tooles Jr., 48, 1730 Lizzie Road, Meridian.

    • Disorderly conduct, two counts – Leerick Shawn Wallace, 8079 Lauderdale Toomsuba Road, Toomsuba.

    • Failure to appear (justice court) – Bridgette Deanne Walters, 29, 10499 Pine Lake Drive, Meridian.

    • Failure to register as sex offender – Marlon Laderick White, 35, 4813 Valley St., Meridian.

    • Public Drunk – Prentis Robert White, 37, 6816 Causeyville Road, Meridian.

    • Disturbing the peace – Christopher S. Winstead, 40, 5713 Hailey Road, Meridian. Winstead is also charged with contempt/child support.
