Auditions for East Mississippi Community College’s Mighty Lion Band will be held Saturday, March 21, at the Scooba campus. All students trying out should register online. Go to www.eastms.edu and look for the “Band auditions” link on the homepage.

    Color guard and dance line students should report to the Scooba campus at 8:30 a.m. to register. At 9 a.m., these students will learn the audition routine in a fundamentals workshop. Color guard and dance line auditions follow after lunch.

    Students auditioning for instrumental and percussion positions should use the online form to request individual appointment times. Audition music will also be available for download through the “Band auditions” link. EMCC will contact these musicians individually to confirm an appointment.

    All students auditioning for the Mighty Lion Band should report to the band hall, which is on the north end of campus, across from the old football field.

    Band auditions will also be held on Saturday, March 28, at EMCC’s Golden Triangle campus.
