Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

    • Domestic violence – Kyle Travaria Cooks, 28, 685 Tuscaloosa St., Marion.

    • Aggravated assault – Jareigus V. Dixon, 28, 619 MLK Ave., Meridian.

    • Felon in possession of firearm – Christopher Lashawn Grace, 24, 1524 45th Ave., Meridian. Grace is also charged with false ID information.

    • Possession of cocaine – Lashonda Latrish Lewis, 34, 1303 25th Ave. B8, Meridian.

    • Assault on a minor – Adrian Dewayne Seals, 21, 802 Ninth Ave., Meridian. Seals is also charged with disorderly conduct.

    • Refuse to obey an order from officer – Jessie J. Stephens, 34, 3012 12th St., Meridian.

    • Disturbance in public place – Eddie Davis Willis, 56, 3820 Smith St., Meridian.

    • Malicious mischief – Vertisha Young, born in 1981, 2018 26th Avenue, Meridian.

    • Possession of marijuana – Taylor N. Smith, born in 1991, 1406 14th Ave., Meridian. Smith is also charged with child neglect and DUI.

    • Petit larceny – Keith Wallace, born in 1977, 4504 Pacific Street.

    • Disorderly conduct – Dajour Q. Taylor, born in 1991, 503 54th Ave., Meridian. Taylor is also charged with resisting arrest and giving false information.

    • Disorderly conduct – Corderous L. Taylor, born in 1989, 503 54th Ave., Meridian. Taylor is also charged with resisting arrest.

    • DUI- Mubarak Y. Nazir, born in 1942, PO Box 671832.

    • Shoplifting – Lisa D. Jacobs, born in 1967, 207 Bailey Ave.

    • Shoplifting – Melton W. Boutwell, born in 1970, 5414 Mini Farm Road.

    • DUI – Timothy L. Willis, born in 1967, 125 58th Ave., Meridian. Willis is also charged with leaving the scene.

    Meridian police responded to 15 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:

    • Burglary, dwelling house – Kenzales Rayshun Avery, 19, 9435 Hamrick Road North, Collinsville. Avery is also charged with trespassing.

    • Driving under the influence (DUI), first offense – Carey Earl Baylor Jr., 23, 107 71st Place, Meridian. Baylor is also charged with no drivers license, careless driving, seat-belt violation and armed robbery.

    • Felon in possession of firearm – Comondrau Trymon Brown, 28, 3705 Royal Road, Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Todd Cannon, 42, 106 East Boundrey St., La Grange, NC. Cannon is also charged with careless driving.

    • DUI, first offense – Nakias Dion Causey, 39, 177 Box Rt. 1, Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Elizabeth Crawford, 37, 209 Prowell St., Linden, AL.

    • Contempt of court, two counts – Deborah Jean Dear, 50, 500 N. Main St., Mendenhall. Dear is also charged with failure to appear (justice court), two counts.

    • Probation violation/parole – Delanney Kemon Ford, 24, 1416 48th Ave., Meridian.

    • Failure to pay (justice court) – Clifford James Harris, 30, 504, Pensacola, FL.

    • Suspended drivers license – Wesley Scott Hillhouse, 22, 1949 Goodhope Knox Road, Toomsuba. Hillhouse is also charged with speeding and false ID information.

    • Probation violation/parole – Dentrey Jaquan Jones, 25, 360 56th Ave., Meridian.

    • DUI, first offense – Anthony D. Litchfield, 49, 319 Mountain Top Road, Meridian. Litchfield is also charged with wrong way on a one-way street.

    • Probation violation/parole – Thomas L. McCoy, 28, 1911 29th Ave., Meridian. McCoy is also charged with disorderly conduct/failure to obey officer.

    • Telephone harassment – Melissa Fay Morrison, 44, 4658 Zero Road, Meridian.

    • Driving with suspended license – Michael Doyel Moss, 42, 364 SCR 504 R, Louin. Moss is also charged with improper turn and no liability insurance.

    • Possession of methamphetamine – Theresa Suzanna Pack, 43, 880 Aycock Road, Meridian. Pack is also charged with receiving stolen property and compulsory school attendance.

    • Home repair fraud, two counts – Sandra Ellen Rigney, 54, 3925 40th St., Meridian. Rigney is also charged with probation violation, three counts.

    • Bad check, felony – Jaccarnarez Shorterez, 70, 419 Sixth Ave., Meridian.

    • Contempt/child support – Anthony Jamal Williams, 34, 3617 20th St., Meridian.
