NEWTON — Edna Rosalie “Rose” Wallace, 63 of Geneva, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015, at Delanor Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born October 21, 1951 in Forest, Miss., the daughter of Edward and Pauline (Charles) Bond.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Newton County Funeral Home – South – 100 Old Hwy 15 Loop, Newton, Miss. Interment will be at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, Miss.
Rose worked as a preschool teacher’s assistant. She enjoyed spending time reading, going to garage sales, and relaxing at the beach. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, David; their daughter Amanda of Geneva, Ill.; siblings Rachel Lyles of Meridian, Miss., Davis (MaryAnn) Bond of Hickory, Miss., Miriam Bond of Lake, Miss., Sidney (Jan) Bond, of New Albany, Ind., and Liz (Oscar) Lopez of Spring, Texas.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be at the funeral home, Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorials to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD), Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 320, 290 King Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087 would be appreciated.
