Meridian Police Department

    The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

    • Shoplifting – Dion Emmett Tubby, 27, 268 Frog Level Road, Philadelphia.

    • Shoplifting – Keitric Randle, born in 1979, 5916 Tubbs Road.

• Driving under the influence (DUI) – Gustave Matamo, born in 1982, 103 Evans Drive.

• DUI – Adrian A. Anderson, born in 1987, 7576 Poplar Springs Drive.

• Willful trespassing – William O. Brown, born in 1986, 3305 27th Avenue.

• Shoplifting – Marcus Wayne Hayes, 36, 8204 AC Brown Road, Meridian. Hayes is also charged with possession of controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

• Malicious mischief – Jecobie Chaney, born in 1987, 627 Fifth Court.

• Disorderly conduct – Robert W. Carey, 30, 805 Good Hope Road, Decatur. Carey is also charged with indecent exposure and public drunk.

• Contempt of court – Darryl Lawrence Franklin, 24, 810 16th St., Meridian.

• Disorderly conduct – Baron W. Hart, 19, 2318 15th Ave., Meridian. Hart is also charged with disturbance of family.

    Meridian police responded to 3 shots-fired calls. Officers were unable to find evidence to support the calls.

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s        Department

    The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Wednesday and 8:43 a.m. Thursday:

    • Public Drunk – Carol Davis, 44, 1472 Long Creek Road, Meridian.

    • Disturbance of family – Kenneth Neal Sr., 58, 6338 Mosley Lake Road, Meridian.
