Mr. Reese was called home Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, in Meridian. He passed peacefully at his home surrounded by the ones he loved, laughed with, and lived for, after a brief struggle with cancer. He was 87 years old.

Frank was born in Memphis, Tenn. to Frank and Theresa Reese on Dec. 15, 1927, the oldest of 3 sons. After graduating high school, he left home and attended Tuskegee College in Tuskegee, Ala.             He married the love of his life, Irma Jean Leflore in 1958. They raised their six children in Queens, N.Y., where they enjoyed as active family and social life, creating many lifetime friendships and cherished memories.

Frank worked in New York City as a Senior Court Clerk, until his retirement in 1991 and relocation back to Meridian. He was an intellectually gifted man, who never tired of expanding his wealth of knowledge. Frank will be especially remembered for his endless dedication to his family and loved ones, creating a home that welcomed friends and strangers alike with good conversations, food and music. He was an active member of the Knights of Peter Claver at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Irma Jean; three sons, Christopher, Michael, and Darian; two daughters, Teresa and Trichele; his grandchildren, Keisha and Reese; great-granddaughter, Asaiah, as well as, sister-in-law, Daisy Reese; several nieces; nephews; cousins and other family relatives.
