Services for Jacqueline W. Massey will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Allan Singletary officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Massey, 85, of Meridian, passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at her residence. She was raised at the Palmer Home for Children, which she gave credit for her early Christian heritage. She also was a member of Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church and retired from Rush Foundation Hospital with more than 40 years of service.
Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn (Lee) Smith of Meridian, Vickie (Victor) Robinson of Columbus, Deborah Dailey of Meridian and Jamie Massey of Biloxi; three grandchildren, Gabriel (Amy) Robinson, David (Alicia) Vaughn and Trace Vaughn; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Robinson, Dalton James Robinson, Kahlen Vaughn and Taylor Cox; and one brother, Richard (Judy) Williams of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Massey; sister, Evelyn McPhail; and parents, Richard and Alline Williams.
Pallbearers will be Ken Purvis, Herman Stegall, Jerry Snell, Vic Morena, Dennis McDill and Roger Willliams. Honorary pallbearers are members of the 25-year Club of Rush Hospital and former Flintkote employees.
Visitation will be held today, from 3 p.m.-5 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to services at the church.
