McCarty, Pearson

    Briana Rachelle Pearson of Jackson and Lee Britt McCarty of Meridian were married Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at Wesley Biblical Seminary of Jackson, with the Rev. Jason Holmes officiating.

    Parents of the couple are Rebecca Henson Pearson of Jackson and Dr. and Mrs. John Britt McCarty of Meridian.

    Grandparents of the bridegroom are Ms. Julie Knight of Jackson and Dr. and Mrs. John Walter McCarty of Harperville.

    Music for the ceremony was provided by Mysti Chustz, soloist; Nancy Fisher, piano; and Greer Goldman, organ.

    The bride wore a designer gown with a sheer illusion back and neckline sprinkled with embroidery and beading. The slight cap sleeve, gauzy English net skirt and lace appliqué completed her gown with an added rhinestone belt.

    Maid of honor was Miss Anna Bess Ridgeway of Jackson and matron of honor was Mrs. Brenna Grace Shoemaker of Flowood.

    Other attendants were Miss Mary Ann McCarty of Meridian; Miss Molly Ruth McCarty of Meridian; Miss Julia Helen McCarty of Meridian; Miss Anna Elizabeth Reid of Brookhaven; Miss Leigh Dexter Morson of Clarksdale; Mrs. Mallory Dowdy McCoy of Flowood; Mrs. Allison Hubbard Strickland of Birmingham; Miss Massey Claire Buckner of Flowood; Miss Joy Elizabeth Bolding of Decatur, Ala.; Miss Kaitlin Veronica McCarty of Brandon and Mrs. Mandy Wilson McCarty of Mount Pleasant, S.C.

    The father of the bridegroom was best man.

    Program attendants were Miss Kate Wiggins and Miss Kelly Henderson.

    A reception was held at The Eudora Welty Commons in Jackson following the ceremony.

    Assisting at the reception were Mrs. Johnny M. Dowdy, Mrs. Richard Ridgway, Mrs. James Griffin, Mrs. Charles Slaughter, Ms. Venetria Moore, Mrs. Joe Kraft, Mrs. Keith Winstead, Mrs. Jason Holmes, Miss Katie Kraft, and Miss Whitley Winstead.

    After a honeymoon in Rosemary Beach, Fla. the couple resides in Jackson.
