Meridian Police Department
The Meridian Police Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:
• Disorderly conduct/failure to obey law enforcement officer – Henry Franklin Holley Jr., 39, 8025 Old Eighth St., Road, Meridian. Holley also faces charges for resisting arrest and failure to pay (Justice Court).
The Meridian Police Department reported the following incidents from Dec.-Dec. 14:
Auto Burglaries
• 1000 block of Bonita Lakes Drive.
• 1000 block of Bonita Lakes Drive.
Residential Burglary
• 3100 block of 36th Avenue.
• 2100 block of 15th Avenue.
• 4600 32nd Avenue.
Shootings
• 900 block of 30th Avenue. Officers arrived on scene and determined that a vehicle had been hit by gun fire. There were no injuries reported and the case is still under investigation.
• Meridian officers responded to 12 shots-fired calls, but were unable to find evidence to support the calls upon arrival to the scenes.
Lauderdale County Sheriffs Department
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reported the following arrests between 8:44 a.m. Friday and 8:43 a.m. Monday:
• Driving Under the Influence (DUI), first offense – Gary Eugene Barber Jr., 33, 2001 29th Ave., Meridian. Barber also faces charges for driving without a license, driving with liability insurance and driving with a switched tag/license plate.
• DUI, first offense – Michael Carl Barney, 49, 104 Smith Spur Road, Toomsuba.
• Possession of cocaine, two counts – Crystal Christine Biffle, 29, Pickens Street L-13, Livingston, Ala.
• Domestic violence-Simple assault – Maxiel Duran Gomez, 27, 4823 Valley Road, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Skyler Scott Goss, 19, 150 Pelican Cove, Homer, La. Goss also faces charges for driving without liability insurance and a seat belt violation.
• DUI, second offense – Antawian Divon Grace, 22, 2607 Campground Road, Lauderdale. Grace also faces charges for possession of marijuana (first offense), child endangerment and felon in possession of firearm.
• Petit Larceny, up to $1,000 – Tony Edward Harbour, 25, 793 Murphy Road, Meridian.
• Possession of cocaine – Rodricus D. Huggins, 24, 2428 Old Marion Road, Meridian.
• Possession of marijuana, first offense – Danny Earl Irby, 50, 1626 28th Ave., Meridian. Irby also faces charges for avoiding road block, driving with a suspended license, driving without liability insurance and seat belt violation.
• DUI, first offense – Jimmy R. Ivy, 5717 B Charlie Dunn Road, Toomsuba.
• Underage consumption – Justin R. Jenkins, 19, 5421 Mini Farm Road, Meridian.
• DUI, first offense – Merle Arden Kirkpatrick, 32, 383 Briarwood Road, Lot. 82, Meridian. Kirkpatrick also faces charges for careless driving, driving without liability insurance and driving with a suspended license.
• Underage consumption – Carter Jace Little, 18, 365 County Road 3712, Enterprise.
• Driving under the influence of other substance – Detre Deshuad McBride, 21, 5324 Mudline Road, Lake. McBride also faces a charge for possession of marijuana in vehicle.
• Telephone harassment, two counts – Jennifer Lynn McMillan, 44, 359 Hickory Place, Meridian.
• Disturbance of family – Kelvin D. Mitchell, 40, 4203 Riderwood Drive, Butler, Ala. Mitchell also faces a charge for the sale of alcoholic beverage after hours.
• Failure to appear (Justice Court), two counts – Kyrell Quinn Payne, 25, 7455 Lizelia Road, Marion.
• Underage consumption – Dylan Charles Richie, 20, 63 B Luther Walker Road, Meridian.
• DUI, second offense – William Jason Sanders, 28, 1219 65th Ave., Meridian.
• Underage consumption – Sydne E. Spencer, 19, 211 North Jackson Ave., Quitman.
• DUI, first offense – Zebodiah Dane Swain, 28, 3135 County Road 370, Enterprise. Swain also faces charges for improper equipment, violation of insurance card in vehicle law and seat belt violation.
• DUI, first offense – Ernesto Velez, 34, 2347 Mountain View Road, Gainsville, Ga. Velez also faces a charge for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
• Failure to pay (Justice Court) – Dexter J. Wheaton, 27, 423 Highway 80 Ave., Hickory.
• Underage consumption – Robert Glynn White, 18, 72 County Road 349, Stonewall.
