Miss Williams, Mr. Shirley

    Sam and Mindy Williams of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Melinda, to Stephen Marshall Shirley, son of Craig and Wendy Shirley of Meridian.

    The wedding will be Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.

    Miss Williams is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl H. Staton Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Strib Williams.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in business. She obtained her juris doctorate degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She is a graduate of Meridian High School.

    While attending Cooley Law School, she was a member of the Moot Court Board, the Southern Law Coalition and served as a teaching assistant.

    Miss Williams is employed by Ready Law Firm.

    Mr. Shirley is the grandson of Bobby and Audrey Griffin of Meridian, Evelyn Shirley of Meridian and Kendall Shirley of Snell.

    The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale Attendance Center and attended Meridian Community College.    

    Mr. Shirley is employed by AT&T.

    A reception will be held at Northeast Conference Center.
