Roberson, Webb

    Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Roberson of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Cory Ashton, to Michael Taylor Webb, son of Keith and Sondra Webb of Collierville, Tennessee and David and Sara Bridges of Magee.

    The wedding will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at the MSU Riley Center in Meridian.

    The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Sam and Macie Roberson of Toomsuba and the late Ikie and Jerry Ethridge of Collinsville.

    The bride-elect is a graduate of Mississippi State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education in 2014 and an Associate of Arts degree from East Mississippi Community College in 2012. She is a graduate of Clarkdale High School.

    While attending EMCC, she was a member of the Lady Lion Softball team, Phi Theta Kappa honor society, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. While attending MSU, she was a member of Phi Delta Kappa honor society.

    Miss Roberson is employed by Forrest County School District in Hattiesburg as an English/Language Arts Special Education teacher.

    Mr. Webb is the grandson of Mr. HD and Mrs. Velma Webb of Mineral Springs and Mr. Winfred and Mrs. Eugenia Muckelrath of Raleigh.

    The bridegroom-elect has been a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard since 2003 where he served on three tours of duty as a combat medic. He is a 2004 graduate of Raleigh High School.

    Mr. Webb is employed as an Instructor and Course Material Writer for the Army Medical Department Center and school at Camp Shelby in South Mississippi.

    A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony.
