Services for Joe Mack Lee Sr. were held Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Sandy Haven Missionary Church with Rev. Raymond Martin and Rev. Bernice Fleming officiating. Burial took place in Sandy Haven Cemetery. The body was taken to the church at 10 a.m. for visitation.
Mr. Lee, 66, of Stonewall, died Sept. 26, 2014 at his residence.
He was born Nov. 18, 1947 to Arnold and Sadie Lee in Clarke County. He was a mechanic who worked on small engines. He was a member of Wilson Lodge #72 and a member of Sandy Haven Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Joe Mack (Bubba) Lee, and fiancee’, Janice LaPlante; daughters, Penny (Jim) Gunn, Elizabeth (Jeff) Robinson, and Carmen Turner; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Shelia (Oscar) Phillips, Joyce (Jeffery) Robinson, and Patsy (Henry) Robb.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Lee; father, Arnold Lee; mother, Sadie Robinson; brothers, Billy Gene Lee, Kenneth Lamar Lee, and Robert Keith Robinson; and grandson, Joshua Keith Turner.
Visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Wright’s Funeral Home, Quitman.
Pallbearers were Jeff Ray, Bubba Acreman, Todd Lawson, Larry Lawson, Jimmy Mitchell, and Randall Acreman. Honorary Pallbearers were Bruce Ray, Kenneth Holifield, Mack Martin, George Collins and Rodney Collins.
