Mr. Bennett, Miss Blaine

    Mr. and Mrs. Billy Blaine of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Claire, to Joshua Nelson Bennett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard “Buddy” Bennett.

    The wedding will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at 5 p.m. at First Christian Church in Meridian.    

    Miss Blaine is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Heyward A. Dillard of Meridian and Mr. Marvin Gibson and the late Barbara McLemore Gibson of Meridian.

    The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing. She is a 2007 graduate of Meridian High School.

    While at MSU, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.

    Miss Blaine is employed by Newell Paper Company in Meridian.

    Mr. Bennett is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard E. Bennett of Meridian and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Odom of Meridian.

    The bridegroom-elect is a 2005 graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies. He is a 2000 graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School.

    Mr. Bennett is employed by North Lauderdale Water Association.

    A reception will be held following the ceremony at Soule’ Steam Works.

    Following a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Meridian.
