Two men were injured Friday night in separate incidents involving gunfire.
The first shooting occurred around 9 p.m. in the 1100 block of 46th avenue. The victim, a male, drove himself to the hospital, police said.
“His injuries were non life threatening,” Detective Dareall Thompson said. “He was shot in the arm.” Thompson said the victim would not cooperate with police.
The second shooting occurred less than an hour later on Highway 19 N in the parking lot of Ferdie’s liquor store.
The victim, also a male, was transported to a local hospital.
“We do have a person in custody,” Thompson said. “He was taken in minutes after the shooting occurred. He supposedly got into a fight and was shot in the thigh. The suspect was quickly taken into custody.”
Both cases still under investigation.
